Rabat, Thursday, September 17, 2026 – The Innov Invest Fund (FII), a public programme dedicated to financing and supporting innovative entrepreneurship, implemented by TAMWILCOM on behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with the financial and technical support of the World Bank, has achieved significant results since its launch in 2017.

The programme has supported nearly 1,000 entrepreneurs and provided funding to more than 500 startups, mobilising over MAD 590 million in the form of grants, loans and investments. The FII has also contributed to the establishment of four seed and venture capital funds, which have invested more than MAD 500 million in around 40 startups. In total, over 40 patents have been filed as part of these projects, highlighting the technological potential and innovative capacity of the supported businesses.

The final evaluation conducted by the World Bank awarded the programme a rating of “Highly Satisfactory”, the highest rating in the World Bank’s evaluation system.

These results demonstrate the relevance of this initiative, which has gradually helped structure Morocco’s ecosystem for startup financing and support.

To celebrate these achievements, TAMWILCOM held a ceremony on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at its headquarters in Rabat. The event was attended by, among others, Mr. Mohammed Tarik BCHIR, Director of the Treasury and External Finance, and Mr. Ahmadou Moustapha NDIAYE, World Bank Country Director for the Maghreb and Malta, as well as the programme’s key partners and various stakeholders from Morocco’s startup ecosystem.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Said JABRANI, Chief Executive Officer of TAMWILCOM, stated:

“The ‘Highly Satisfactory’ rating awarded by the World Bank is a strong recognition of the collective efforts undertaken through the Innov Invest Fund. It confirms the relevance of a model that has helped align financing with the specific needs of startups and contributed to structuring Morocco’s startup ecosystem. This recognition commits us to sustaining this momentum under our new strategic plan, JOSSOUR 2030, by strengthening our support for startups and fostering synergies with the various public initiatives dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.”

This momentum is reflected in particular in the ongoing rollout of the Venture Building and Venture Capital programmes, launched by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform as part of its “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy. These complementary initiatives are expected to strengthen the financing and support continuum and contribute to the emergence and growth of a new generation of Moroccan startups.
